Today

cheerful

Sloeleaf is cheerful today, and fishing in Rootcellar's sunbeam puddles, though it skips the dark corners.

Origin

Sloeleaf always dresses for a fishing trip with a tidy collar and polished pebble buttons, then forgets the bait halfway to the pond. The dark frightens Sloeleaf, so they carry a glowworm in a jar wherever they go. Sloeleaf's dearest wish is a home of their own, a small cozy den in the Rootcellar with a proper door and a welcome mat.
