Origin
Ferndew spends long hours in the Rootcellar polishing rocks and complaining about the mess everyone else makes. Owls terrify them, and every time a feathered shadow swoops past, Ferndew ducks behind the biggest stone they own. Still, their dream of seeing the world keeps them stacking pebbles into little maps of places they have never been.
