Sloedale spent the breezy morning fishing for dewdrops, ducking every shadow in case an owl swooped by.

Origin

Sloedale casts a line into the Spire's glowing pond every morning and chatters non-stop about the greatest catch they're sure is waiting. Greedy for every fish in the pond, they still flinch whenever an owl's shadow crosses the water. Sloedale dreams of sailing beyond the hollow to see the wide world and every fish that swims in it.
