Origin
Birchdale is the cleverest bait-seller in Leafmarket, and no one has ever caught Birchdale in a lie, though plenty have tried. Birchdale fishes from the market's edge, where the crowd thins out, because being alone is a terror that Birchdale would never admit to. Someday Birchdale hopes to settle down in a home of their own, a snug hollow where the bait stays fresh and nobody bothers them.
